Frequently Asked Questions

A

The Ansmann Starthilfekabel is compatible only with ANSMANN Powerstations PS600AC and PS2200AC. Use with other powerstations or devices is explicitly not permitted and may void warranties or cause damage.

Is this answer helpful?

A

A steady green LED means a correct connection and readiness to start. A blinking green LED indicates a deeply discharged battery — press BOOST and wait for steady green before starting. A red LED with an audible tone signals a faulty or reversed connection. No light may indicate a damaged battery or a fault; if clamps are correct, try BOOST.

Is this answer helpful?

A

Use BOOST only when the green LED is blinking (deeply discharged battery) and clamps are securely connected (red to positive, black to negative). Do not press BOOST before clamps are correctly attached. Start the engine within 30 seconds after the LED turns steady green.

Is this answer helpful?

A

The cable and its electronics include short‑circuit protection, overcurrent protection, over‑discharge protection, plug over‑temperature protection, reverse‑polarity protection and reverse charging protection to reduce risks to the vehicle, battery and Powerstation.

Is this answer helpful?

A

Children aged eight and older may use the product only if instructed and supervised by a competent adult who understands the hazards. The device is not a toy; untrained minors should not operate or clean it without supervision.

Is this answer helpful?

A

No. The Powerstation and jumpstart cable must be kept dry and used in closed, dry spaces away from rain or moisture. Do not submerge the product or operate it with wet hands to avoid electric shock, fire or damage.

Is this answer helpful?

A

Dispose of packaging materials separately for recycling (cardboard with paper, film with recyclable plastics). Return the end‑of‑life electrical product to a designated electronic waste collection point or follow local take‑back systems; do not discard it with regular household waste in the EU.

Ansmann Starthilfekabel Manual — Reliable Jumpstart Cable for ANSMANN Powerstations

The Ansmann Starthilfekabel is a compact, safety‑focused jumpstart cable engineered specifically for use with ANSMANN Powerstations PS600AC and PS2200AC. Designed for private, household use, it pairs a rugged clamp set and integrated safety electronics with clear LED and audible indicators to guide safe connection and starting. With a short cable length and a solid housing, the unit aims to deliver high peak currents while protecting both the powerstation and the vehicle battery.

Key features and operation

This jumpstart cable supports a nominal jumpstart output of up to 500 A and a peak output up to 1000 A, making it suitable for most 12 V car batteries, including deeply discharged ones. The cable assembly connects to the Powerstation via a blue plug labeled "JUMPER CABLE"; clamps attach to the vehicle battery (red to +, black to -). A multi‑state indicator shows connection status: steady green for ready, blinking green for deep discharge (use BOOST), red plus a tone for incorrect polarity or bad connection, and no light for a possibly damaged battery. The BOOST function can attempt to revive heavily depleted batteries; once the engine starts, clamps should be removed and the Powerstation disconnected.

Safety and protections

Safety is central: the device includes short‑circuit protection, overcurrent and over‑discharge protection, plug temperature protection, reverse‑polarity protection and reverse charging protection. It must only be used in dry, non‑explosive environments and only with compatible ANSMANN powerstations. Users are warned not to short clamps together, not to press BOOST before clamps are correctly fitted, and not to use the cable if damaged. The product is rated for operation and storage between -20°C and 55°C and is classified as protection class III.

Practical considerations

The cable is short (approx. 50 cm) and compact (housing 100 × 40 × 40 mm, 260 g), emphasizing portability and placement close to the vehicle battery. It is intended for domestic emergency use rather than commercial heavy‑duty applications. Packaging and end‑of‑life disposal follow standard recyclable sorting and electronic waste regulations; do not dispose of the unit in regular household waste within the EU.

Final notes

Use strictly with ANSMANN PS600AC and PS2200AC powerstations. Keep children away from the device and do not allow untrained persons to operate it unsupervised. If the cable or clamps are damaged, contact authorized service or your retailer rather than attempting repairs.

Notes:

  • Intended for 12 V automotive batteries only.
  • Do not press BOOST before correct clamp connection.
  • Dispose of the product at an electronic waste collection point in accordance with local regulations.
